1. HUNTES GARDEN
One of the most magical places on earth! Huntes Garden is a collection of tropical plants that have been lovingly nurtured in the naturally formed gully. This oasis of water features, statues, secluded paths and of course magnificent plants is located in the northeastern parish of St. Joseph. Guests are encouraged to pack a picnic basket and explore the gardens to find their own area to enjoy their lunch amongst the mesmerizing beauty. Keep an eye out for the Buddha statue a favourite photo point at Huntes Gardens. Admission to the gardens is $15 USD / person.
2. WELCHMAN HALL GULLY
Fun fact, the Grapefruit originated in Welchman Hall Gully, Barbados and was first documented back in 1750. Today you can visit this tropical hideaway on a walking tour through the lush forest in a collapsed cave. The tour is family friendly; children can pet rabbits and tortoises and feed monkeys. The tour is also wheelchair friendly as you wander along a paved path through the gully. Visit between 10:30 am and noon to see the feeding of the free-ranging Green Monkeys. Welchman Hall Gully also has a lookout point of the rugged east coast of Barbados and a café where you can enjoy a cool drink and snacks.

3. GRENADE HALL SIGNAL STATION & FOREST
History and nature lovers will enjoy a visit to Grenade Hall, a restored signal station located in a lush natural forest. Follow the uneven winding path with caution through the serene forest while monkeys leap from tree to tree around you. Stop to sit on one of the benches to take it all in before you reach the signal station with panoramic views of the island. The station was built in 1819 and was used to communicate with stations across the island and warn of approaching ships. Entry to the Grenade Hall Signal Station also gets you access to the adjoining Wildlife Reserve where you can see green monkeys, tortoises, peacocks and other animals roam freely.

4. ANDROMEDA BOTANIC GARDENS
Tucked away in the lush countryside of Bathsheba, Barbados you will find Andromeda Botanic Gardens – A Partner Garden of the Royal Horticultural Society. Only organic practises like manures and compost are used to upkeep the gardens. The University of The West Indies is responsible for the many ongoing research projects in the organic gardens. Explore at your own leisure before relaxing by the main pond. Pop in the local art gallery and gift shop before continuing on to spend the day at Bathsheba beach.

5. THE FLOWER FOREST
Fifty-three acres of lush tropical trees and flowers that bloom year-round await at the Flower Forest. Follow the winding paths through the largest botanical garden in Barbados to lookout points of the Scotland District for a romantic day with a loved one. Stay for lunch at the Forest Café where you can enjoy local bites like Flying Fish sandwiches, fish cakes and even organic herbal teas made with plants grown in the forest. Take a peak in the gift store for a tasteful souvenir like handmade Earthworks pottery or local mahogany hand-carved gifts.

6. ORCHID WORLD & TROPICAL FLOWER GARDEN
Marvel at over a thousand Caribbean plants, flowers and orchids at Orchid World, Barbados. Follow the landscaped, meandering paths for a self-guided tour past a waterfall, through a coral grotto and through five orchid houses with magnificent blooms. Keep an eye out for hummingbirds as they fly from flower to flower. After your one-hour walking tour, relax on the shady deck and enjoy a cool drink while taking in natures beauty.
